  • Connecting Africa – this site provides a web portal for African Studies in the Netherlands. It is based on the catalogue of the African Studies Centre, University of Leiden but with additional records from a much wider range of catalogues and resources, including open access repositories. There are links to some full-text as well as image and sound.
  • ILISS-Afrika – this database allows searching across 3,000+ Africa-related websites; provides catalogue entries for journal articles; and the Africa-related holdings for several German university libraries.
  • COPAC – this is a freely available library catalogue, giving access to the merged online catalogues of many major UK and Irish academic and National libraries, as well as increasing numbers of specialist libraries. In all over 36 million records are included.
  • WorldCat – this is the global library catalogue, containing records of thousands of collections.
