Nelson Mandela exhibition at City and Islington College

City and Islington College in London is hosting an exhibition in memory of Nelson Mandela at the Centre for Business, Arts and Technology. The exhibition has been created by college staff who were involved in the Anti-Apartheid Movement in the 1980s and 1990s and aims to describe the segregation and racial discrimination of the apartheid system and the role of the African National Congress in opposing it. The exhibition will run for six weeks and on 5th March a commemorative event will take place with a panel discussion and performances by students of African-themed dances, songs and readings. Database of the Constitutions of Sub-Saharan Africa – now available online

The Database of the Constitutions of Sub-Saharan Africa/ offering constitutional documents for 52 Sub-Saharan countries since their  independence is now available online.

The collection contains constitutions, as well as amendments and constitutional bills. The documents are provided in their original language, and, if available, in their English translation. The Database of the Constitutions of Sub-Saharan Africa/ was set up with support of the German Foundation for Peace Research (Deutsche Stiftung Friedensforschung) for the research project “Traditional Institutions in sub-Saharan Africa: Endangering or Promoting Stable Domestic Peace?” at the University of
Konstanz.

We provide a collection of web links to online resources and publicly available PDF-files for individual use. At present, several
constitutional documents are still missing from the database, but we continue working to complete the constitutional chronology for all countries. We therefore encourage you to share any online resource Please go to
