SCOLMA Annual Conference 2014 ‘African Trajectories: Travel and the Archive’

Registration is open for the 2014 SCOLMA annual conference which will be taking place on Wednesday 2 July at the University of Birmingham. The theme is ‘African Trajectories: Travel and the Archive’ and Noo Saro-Wiwa, author of ‘Looking for Transwonderland: travels in Nigeria’ will be the keynote speaker. Other speakers will consider travel writing in the digital age, travel and cartography, the travels of Solomon Plaatje and Mrs J. Theodore Bent and the information on travelling in Africa in the 20th century to be found in the archives of Barclays Bank. The full programme and information on how to register can be seen at .
