The Bodleian Library  houses many important African-related collections. These include the papers of :-

the Anti-Slavery Society

The United Society for the Propagation of the Gospel
and the Anti-Apartheid Movement

The Library is also strong in material relating to the history of British colonial administration and holds government publications from many territories during the colonial period.
