Libraries participating in its co-operative scheme specialise in the acquisition of materials from particular areas of Africa and act as information centres.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Acquisitions Specialisation Scheme by area:<\/strong><\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>University of Birmingham:<\/strong> Benin, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Cote d\u2019Ivoire, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Togo<\/li>\n<li><strong>British Library:<\/strong> All African countries, all subjects; holdings strongest for Anglophone countries. Historic and current books and serials; newspapers; official publications; e-resources.
