Book – ‘The Politics of Race in Britain and South Africa’

Scolma is pleased to announce that Scolma member Elizabeth Williams (Goldsmiths, London) has published a book – ‘The Politics of Race in Britain and South Africa: Black British Solidarity and the Anti-apartheid Struggle’. The book covers British black communities’ support for the Anti-apartheid movement, and how they showed solidarity with events in South Africa. Source material includes material contained in the Anti-apartheid Movement Archive, housed at the Bodleian Library in Oxford. Further information about the book is available here.

Scolma 2015 conference

The call for papers for Scolma’s 2015 conference ‘”There came a darkness”: Africa, Africans and World War Iis now closed.
