The 8th Annual Meeting of ELIAS (European Librarians in African Studies) will take place on 20 June 2014.
Location: Frobenius-Institute, Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
Main themes: 1) Acquisitions from African countries (organisations, vendors & publishers), 2) African (e)journals
Call for contributions
Contributions on both themes are invited from ELIAS members as well as from other interested librarians and archivists. Please send a short abstract to the organizers.Deadline for applications is 15 December 2013.

When planning your trip, please be aware that 19 June is a public holiday in most parts of Germany including Frankfurt!
Be also aware that “Frankfurt Airport” is located just 15 minutes out of the city, while the airport “Frankfurt Hahn” which is frequented by the airlines RyanAir, WizzAir and Sun Express is a 2 hour bus trip away from Frankfurt city center!
